F & S Engraving is a leading manufacturer of steel stamp engravings and food dies.

For several years running they have relied on Vision Numeric's Type3 Artistic CAD/CAM Software for the design and machining of raised electrodes, embossing dies and sharp face dies. Ron Liotti, a Programmer at F&S, explains that the company chose Type3 because the software programs they had been using previously were either too limited in their capabilities or very difficult to use.



Mr. Liotti remarks on Type3's user-friendliness and powerful functions: "With Type3 it's very easy to manipulate and modify artwork. Plus, the overall functionality is so much more advanced than the other software programs we've tried. It just blows all these other ones out of the water as far as the things you can do with it".

In addition to the advanced graphical features available, Mr. Liotti appreciates how much time the company has saved thanks to Type3's Toolpath Simulation option, which gives an accurate 3D view of the finished piece on-screen, so that adjustments can easily be made before the piece is actually machined.
