Mr. Walthall looked at several software packages before choosing Type3. He says, "The things that I look for in software are its driveability and the efficiency of its toolpath creation. I needed a software that my employees could learn quickly. The big thing in my business is to go from art to part as quickly as possible. I evaluated other engraving software programs, and I feel like Type3 has given me the shortest span from art to part. So if I hadn't chosen Type3 I don't think my customer base would be where it is now; it might even be non-existent." He adds that the quality of support was another key factor in his decision to go with Type3. He says, "The support I've gotten from Vision Numeric has been excellent. Response time has always been wonderful, and questions have always gotten answered".

Mr. Walthall has also been impressed with Type3's functionality and efficiency: "I think Type3 has one of the strongest vectorization functions that I've seen," he says. "Converting from raster to vector has always been very machinist's dream, and Type3 does that very, very efficiently. Comparing the bitmap to point cloud or surface creation I just felt like the results I got with Type3 were superior to the competition. I got greater detail, final clean-up and manipulation were easier".
