Selection filter
Select between 9 entities whether you want them to be selectable or not. The Selection filter dialog box displays 9 buttons for each of the 9 entities. The 9 types of entities which you can select or not are the following: Markers, Closed contours, Open contours, Text, Images, Dimensions, Surfaces, TypeArt objects, Rulers and dials. Only visible entities are taken into account for the machining process and/or printable.

Split curves
Split open or closed contours through intersection points in order to work on curves or segments with this new finciton. Simple yet very helpful especially when you need to select the contours one by one or separately for different operations.

New possibilities offered by the Find and replace text Abc tool
You can now find and replace a font size selecting the Find and replace font size option. Enter the Old text size then the New text size. Select the Font to find then the font to replace Replace with font owing to the drop-down list boxes. You can Apply modifications to the Selection, to the Current layer or to All layers.

Predictive text input
A true time-saver! But first let us tell you about how it works. Once you have typed a word with 3 characters at minimum and in small letters, then a drop-down list appears automatically showing a list of desired words from a dictionary. You just need to select the word that corresponds to yours. Dictionaries are available in English, French, German, Spanish and Italian.

Enhancements to the Script function
You can now run LaserType V6 and launch new scripts from command line such as creation of geometrical shapes, etc. In the command line, specify the relative path, script name and new values for the new script. The Script function is also very useful to create reeditable objects.

Import of Unicode files for the Entering variables and Multicopy
With LaserType V6, you can now load variables imported from Unicode text files. The Unicode standard is a character coding system designed to support the worldwide interchange, processing, and display of the written texts of many languages. You can now import and display variables of various text types written in most of the major languages around the world, especially Asian languages.



Remove small contours
Automatically and rapidly delete small contours! Once validated, this suppression is immediate. Clean-up operations are much easier with the rapid removal of these « small contours »; you save time to better perfect your model. In the CAD Module, the new « Remove small contours » tool gets rid automatically of small vectors selected.


Scale modifications for 2D Textures
Scale modifications in 2D Textures allows you to control the dimensions of the pattern independantly from the object on which it is duplicated. As a result, the texture is a lot more accurate. When you begin your texture, you can determine its size, and then save it to use it again for a future object.



Create seamless textures
The Create seamless textures tool enables to gather TypeArt textures and create a new TypeArt object onto which a homogeneous, uniform seamless texture is mapped. You can then duplicate the new TypeArt object. You can use the Fill with a texture function with a texture created using the Create seamless textures tool.



TYPEART construction Tree: Personnalize elements
With LaserType V6, you can now rename any elements within the construction Tree. Facets, Curves, TypeArt objects, Surfaces, Sweeping curves, Weaving, any of these can easily be renamed. The TypeArt module integrates parametric technology with all its modifications possibilities and automatic re-computations. Thanks to this technology, easily modify your artwork and all is automatically and rapidely re-calculated. A huge time saving and an incredible freedom of creation.
