Raster-to-Vector, what’s behind it ? WaterType makes this process no-brainer. From its interface, scan in your Black & White or Colored artwork. You can also import picture files (bmp, jpeg, tiff, png, eps, ai, etc) directly in WaterType. Once the picture is on screen, simply hit the Vectorize icon and let WaterType retrieve the best-match contours. |
Advanced set-up can also let you modify the vectorization mode, such as sharper or smoother corners, recognition of all pixels or just groups or pixels, centerline, etc… |

Want more accuracy ?
Turn your vector in Point Mode. In this mode, WaterType displays all nodes making your vectors, therefore offering you the ability to change manually or accurately the position of each point. Points can also be automatically aligned horizontally and vertically. Corners can be sharpen or rounded. Curves can be cut, disconnected or connected. And Point mode offers you tools to redraw portions of vectors.

How flexible is the Text tool ?
Dynamic Text tool delivers the most advanced feature that CADCAM industry can dream of. Simply type your text in the WaterType interface, as if you were typing a letter in MS Word. Should you wish to apply changes to the text, use the Rapido Box. It gives free access to the text features, such as font, inclination, kerning, position, compression, upper or lower case, etc…
Text can be written on flat or curved line, in a box, around a closed contour… almost anywhere!
Once you satisfy with the text, just hit the Convert To Curves icon and export as dxf or hpgl to your machine.
Also, before exporting, you can use Point Mode on your text, and even nest the letters. |
How to save material ?
Nesting is also another strength of WaterType. Once your vectors are ready, the Nesting dialog box offers full control on the operation, by allowing or not Mirror copy, In-hole nesting, Angle rotation, Nesting Direction, Space between objects, etc…
Also, you can import your existing dxf, iges, ISO and Hpgl CAD files, WaterType would nest them for you.
